Bed and Breakfast Rome "Musei Vaticani"
A few suggestions for good food in Rome
There are plenty of good restaurants in Rome,
the ones I recommend you here are the ones where we usually go
to eat, and with whom we have a sort of convention: just say you
are coming from the b&b Musei Vaticani and the owner will
welcome you with an "aperitivo" for free. That's it. Just a more
pleasant way to start your meal. The first place I would suggest is
the Osteria Prati, very close to our bed and breakfast,
on Via Tunisi 44, tel 0639731497. Their cuisine is a very
interesting mix of traditional cuisine and very and
surprising innovations at a reasonable price. They also have a
web site
www.osteriaprati.it.
The fish is really remarkable. Another restaurant also very
close to our b&b is the Osteria Da Dino and Toni, phone tel
0639733284, a typical roman "trattoria" with good traditional
food. They don't have a web site and they don't seem to miss it,
if you'll ever get to know them you will see how far they are
from new technologies! Don't miss the hors-d'ouvres, many and
home made. The third suggestion is for a very nice restaurant in
the historical centre, not far from Piazza Navona, is the
Trattoria da Luigi on Piaza Sforza Cesarini, 24 phone
066865946 web site
www.trattoriadaluigi.com. It is
an old and well known restaurant in a very nice square, and
serve very good food, wonderful their carpaccio di polpo and
their pasta e fagioli. All the places I suggested have an
outside space where is possible to eat outside, that is what we
Romans especially like to do. |
